More about Heshaburn In November 2006 four friends left the band they were playing in. From the ashes of disappointment they started writing fresh new songs in the hope of giving local rock fans something unique, something new and something that would take the floundering Gauteng and surrounding area’s rock scene by storm. In March of 2007 after auditioning several vocalists they found the dynamic front man who could lead them to rock stardom. HE*SHA*BURN is a talented, passionate, professional Hardcore Metal band from Pretoria, the rock capital of South Africa. Consisting of Rich on Bass, the axmen Fish and Frana, Chris behind the skins and Whill on vocal and screaming duties, the band started writing songs and practicing together in early 2007. On the 27th of July 2007 they were ready to share the fruits of their labor with the world and played their Debut show to a highly expectant audience at Café Arc. The response was astounding. Using this starting point they launched themselves into gig mode and hit the ground running. These boys are not to be ignored. With hundreds of fans, and legends like Barney Simon begging for an album, they have jumped into a studio and are currently recording their first album. The bands first single, Lost, has been released on their MySpace site and has passed the 4500 listen mark and almost 21000 MySpace hits in less than a year. There has thus far been a great response to this song. What sets them apart from the hundreds of South African bands currently doing the rounds are the following. They write fresh Hardcore songs that carry across a positive message, unusual for a band of this genre. They are always willing to play a gig albeit sometimes at a personal loss. There is no crowd to big or too small for HE*SHA*BURN to play for. With 20 shows officially booked and pending for the rest of 2008, HE*SHA*BURN are set to send fans wild. They have been approached to perform with other big names such as Bloodline, LA Cobra ,Straatligkinders, Pestroy, The Narrow, and New Found Disorder just to mention a few. HE*SHA*BURN just completed their music video with international video producer Ryan Kruger on and hope to appear on MTV and other music channels. Some of the smoky stages they have been fortunate enough to rock out on include Party house The Venue Melrose Arch, Zeplins, Café Arc, Schiva’s Rock in Pretoria and Roxy’s, The Black Dahlia and Olive Lounge in Jo’burg, Burn in Durban, and Red Door in Pietermaritzburg, and independently at Oppikoppi as Dubway, and now with an even bigger and better sound, HE*SHA*BURN hope and plan to play huge Festivals again. To date they have played an average of five shows a month, sometimes 2 gigs in one weekend and on one occasion 2 gigs in one night a show in Jo’burg and one in Pretoria. With more than 30 Gigs behind them in 2007 they launched into Jan 2008 having the opportunity to represent South Africa in The Global HP design your life concert which was broadcast across four countries. Being approached by local and international stations, including an exclusive interview on Tuks FM, as well as magazines like Locally Whipped and God mag, just speaks for itself. Heshaburn will not let any show down
