LOWPROFILE

About Me

..
"Personally this is what music for me is about. It’s a mad flight into the unknown, it’s an energy that seems inspired from too many narcotics, late nights, pent up aggression but more importantly human emotion. Lowprofile capture the spirit of punk rock perfectly, they’re a pleasure and a shot of adrenaline to watch."
- Claire Angelique, for V Fest.
Lowprofile are a melodic punk rock band from Durban, formed in 2003. No gimmicks, no eyeliner, just heartfelt and honest, full-blast melodic punk rock with a side helping of ska. Inspired by the mid ‘90s punk revival, Lowprofile bang it out hard and fast, with a modern technical twist, catchy harmonies, and an unshakeable love for metal. Remember all those bands you used to love? We do.
To date, Lowprofile have released two full length albums – Talk to Strangers (2005), Wings! Don’t Fail Me Now (2007) – and two music videos. The band has also toured the country, played at several major festivals, and appeared in various forms of media (TV, radio, websites, magazines, and newspapers).
Lowprofile is (and always will be); Ozzie – guitar and vocals, Skeg – bass and vocals, Woogy – guitar, and Yusuf – drums and vocals. Love the music you play, and play the music you love.
