About Me

Georgia born. Lived for a time in California. Had my tongue baptised to coffee, cream and sugar before I was six. Introduced to fear by the evening news before first grade. Went to the watery grave sometime there after. Grew up. Still growing.
Author:
Presently, embarking upon a career imitating life . The summer of 2000 I penned an e-book novella, Delilah’s Fruit, which caused a tiny ripple in the sea, from mostly "religious" people. Despite temporary disdain, it was a good and interesting read. For the short story Her Voice, I received an honorable mention from the National Organization of Women (NOW).
This is my novel, Small Pleasures: Mya's Story
is a hearty taste of realistic fiction . As the story goes . . . the four sister's grandfather saves souls while their Father takes pleasure in distributing woes. Donovan Sheppard, the father - son to a glorified preacher - tranquilizes Vietnam memories with alcohol and masochistic rants supported by scripture. In return, unlike the sons of Noah who mocked, Donovan's daughters mimic. **** read an excerpt ****

Celeb look-alike!: According to myheritage.com, I sorta resemble -- in some manner -- certain celebs (50cent!?!?! oh my gawd and M. Knight Shyamalan ... hmmm, I see a bit of a resemblance). And I don't mind. BUT the next move is to have my bank account resemble their bank accounts. Money doesn't grow on trees but it can certainly grow in my checking and savings accounts!
