About Me

MySpace Friends

I’m not here just to say “hi”, not even here to ask “how’re you doing.” But I am here to say “thank you” for being an instrument, a confidant, a listener, an advisor, a critic, someone I can call a friend . . .
When I’m feeling blue, need someone to talk to, hear me, make me laugh, brighten my day, wish me well, assist me, and bring peace to my life when I have no one to turn to except a friend . . .
That is honest, real, sometimes funny, that will lean on me as I lean on you for comfort, support, to wipe away the tears, put a smile on my face, just to say “everything will be alright” when I call upon my friend . . .
To ease the pain, say a kind word, leave me a note, a picture of happy thoughts with glitter, bright colors, flowing waters, a rose or two, along with a warm heart that beats for ME at that moment while sharing in my pain because a friend should be just that . . . a friend

Let It Flow
Unable to speak the words
That travel throughout my mind
Taking pen in hand, to let
The words unwind.
With each stroke of the pen
Thoughts, feelings, all come in time
Not holding back,
Putting ink to rhyme.
As every word comes to life
Structure, patterns, how they grow
Words unspoken, yet,
The ink continues to flow . . .
Because I'm still . . .
Trying to look Beyond The Horizon
Where the sun goes to set
One day ends . . .
Another begins
As
seagulls
descend
On the Encinita shores
Discussing the philosophy of life and more,
As my brother Pablo and I explore
The reality of an unpredictable war
Where hatred turns to love
Looking to heavens above,
For The Answer to The Question
Forgiving all our transgressions
Where religions are amassed
Gangs become outcast
To a society that’s meant to last
Never forgetting ones past
Where death’s no longer mourned
Babies safely born
Abuse unheard of -
Children treated with love
Where AIDS has no face
No black, brown, or white race
In a society that lives as one
Still waiting . . .
For Him to come
As we look beyond the horizon
Where the sun goes to set.

Television:

Turn On and Tune In
Turn on your television
Watch the Real World as it unfolds before your eyes.
Turn on and tune in as your neighbor just got hit during a drive-by.
Focus the screen, adjust the color to see racism at its worse;
Pop open a can, kick your feet up, and suck one down to quince your thirst.
Adjust your horizontal and vertical flow;
This isn’t the 60’s or 70’s; it’s an all New Millennium show.
Where actors, pop stars, b’ players on trial and the Terminator runs the state;
US goes to war and hand Saddam his next fate.
This is live and it’s in your face;
So you better keep up, before you lose this race
To see who’s really a bad boy, role model, or just hard to the core;
Life as we view it, won’t be the same anymore.
Turn on your television,
Watch the Real World as it unfolds before your eyes;
As other countries promises US a big surprise.
With terrorist threats,
Terrorist threats,
And terrorist threats;
Are you scared yet?
So turn on your television and watch the Real World as it unfolds before your eyes;
Where marriages last a day and the rest is just a lie.
Turn on and tune in as the world debates over nuclear arms;
Whose to say who’s at fault as politicians greases each others palms.
We look to the heavens for an answer in hopes to stop this madness;
How can we blame Him for turning His back with such sadness.
So wake up, get a grip, and feel this flow;
Before you know it, it’s the end of the show.
