Music Dragon was started by BMI Singer-Songwriter Donnie Smith in 2000. “Sad Dirty Night†was the top 10 finalist out of thousands of entries for Tonos Records in 2002 and Semifinalist for the A&R drop box for MCA!!! Music Dragon has been playing shows around the Boston area with Paul DeSouza, Lou DeSouza & Bob Massey. After 7 years of gigs Music Dragon is currently "Back To The Cave" writing & recording :) Born in Niagara Falls, NY. Been playing music & entertaining since I was 4 banging on pots, pans, phone books & barstools!!! Grew up in Spring Texas, Largo/Clearwater Florida & Boston. My musical backround is a boundless vast universe. Went to Gibbs Performing Arts Music School in St. Petersburg Florida. Studied Vocal Lessons with Al Koehn www.vocalvision.com Worked with & personal friends of: Atlantic & Roadrunner recording artist Savatage, Matt Kramer of Saigon Kick, Midnight singer of crimson glory and Deicide. Achievements thus far: Finalist for the National Guitar Center 1999-2000 Drum-Off Finalist in the Rock2k, 3 million dollar MCA recording contract contest. Appeared On 107.3 WAAFs Real Rock TV 2001.
