About Me

Lady Ojibwe is a Faith Keeper and Fire Keeper. I am a daughter, wife, mother, sister, cousin, niece and friend. A paralegal, grant writer and legal advocate but being a good parent is what I have done best and is my highest accomplishment!I LIKE: My Old Skool 73 Cadillac EL D Convertible or in my Sebring...either way...Top down!I also love shoes! 132 pair high heels at last count (yeah, I'm 6ft tall & I still wear em') let's see what else: saving money, traveling, blasting music, reading, writing, cook-outs, talking circles, pow-wows, ceremonies, NDN Summer Festival, getting up super early, giving my daughter clothes, jewelry, a sober and involved mother, a beautiful room and home! Oh, and I love her Daddy who treats me like the queen that I am... DISLIKES: I dislike alcohol, Abuse of tobacco & drugs and I feel sorry for my brothers and sisters who are out there doing those things. I pray for you and pray for me because I am trying to kick Mexican food!

I believe in the power of the sweat lodge. No one can take my spiritual power. To me, this is the most important kind of power. This is what Star describes as she says "Spirituality is not religion to Indians. Religion is not an Indian concept, it is a non Indian word"..."Indians do not ask what religion another Indian is, because they already know the answer" Our traditional teachings emphasize respect for others. This is the cultural principle that guides me in my personal and professional life.
