About Me

We are a 2 man band from Nottingham that mixes twisted beats, grinding guitars and waves of arpeggios to create a wall of coma rock. Pretention ahoy.
Apparatus Of Sleep is the result of frustration, impatience and the desire to create somthing new and exciting. We had a very hard time finding band members with similarly wide tastes. Thus, a laptop was employed and all our rock songs turned into what you hear now. A pastiche of everything current, and hopefully a competent fusion of live instruments with digital grime. With influences as diverse as Shoegaze, Dubstep, Post-Rock and Art Punk, this band has been a very long time in the making, and is still embryonic. Finding our sound has been an on-going battle. One day we might sound better!
We're doing this for the love of music and especially live performance, our recordings on this page will never measure to the real thing. Our goal is to use the vibrations of our music to lift the people we play to into a more euphoric and hopefull frame of mind. Just trying to spread the love that we feel from you guys, because to love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides. (Pretention complete)

Sounds Like: "Like a beautiful summer's day... With grinding guitars" - Boxface Promotions"Dramatic, Glitchy Post-Rock" - Cityzen PromotionsI've always thought our music sounds like an advert for a car or the finale of some low-budget disaster film. The sound is likely to change anyway when we find some good-hearted folk to join the family.
