Fireangeldesign.co.za was started in January 2007 as a way of exposing South African’s to the great amounts of local bands and quality music that was and in some cases, still is overlooked by the “mainstream mediaâ€. The website has since evolved into one of the leading platforms for local bands to promote themselves with detailed and well designed layouts, photos and logos.
The mission for this website is still pretty much the same, the only change being that there will be more bands from other countries being featured on the site. By doing this, I hope to open people’s eyes to what is going on overseas and to expose them to bands that are very professional. I believe that if more local bands get exposure in the same publication next to “International bands†that it will help them improve and become more “Professional†and help to improve the quality of the scene and help to raise it up to international standards.
At the end of the day it is my dream to make this website an open platform where I feature as many different bands playing as many different styles of music as possible as long as it is different to the stuff we are forced to listen to on the radio day after day, and hopefully influence the “major players†in radio and media to get involved in playing and promoting good original music.
How to get your band interviewed and featured on Fireangeldesign.co.za:

[email protected] with your band name, web address (website, myspace…) and in which month you would like to get your band featured on the site. To qualify for an interview you must be able to provide me with the following:
- A high resolution promo pic of your band. - A band logo. - Please provide a web address in your interview request email to any of your bands songs posted on the internet so that I can have a listen to how your band sounds.
All these measures are needed to create good quality interviews that look great but are also worth spending the time to read.
If I receive your interview request email I will try to get back to you as soon as possible. Please note that it can take me a long while sometimes but I do get back to everyone eventually.
I reserve the right to accept or deny any requests for interviews. So please don’t hate me if your request is denied. Just work a little harder and improve your band a bit and then get back to me.
