Gustavo Charif. biog. «Stateless», born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the 18th of August of 1966.
Painter, writer, filmmaker, inventor of pictorial and cinematography techniques, of a system of lenses that places the vision in grid form (aiming for a more simple and quick way of learning proportions in drawing), of an embryonic language with his own grammar and laws, of a genre of theatre (the caprela, a sort of dramatic poem that takes its name from the arthropod, for his external skeleton), of a Sophistic International Organization, of a religion that does not accept devotes, of a price without money for scientists and artists (the "Charif painted in gold").
Since an early age he has accomplished a numerous of institutional and personal studies of painting, literature, history of religions, philosophy, epistemology, logic, topology, music, set design, restoration of easel painting and régisseur. ________________________________________________

He shows his works in Europe, Asia and American since 1982. He took part in exhibitions side by side with Pierre Alechinsky, Salvador Dalí, René Magritte, Antonio Saura, Bram van Velde, Roland Topor, Jean Miotte and many others. ________________________________________________
In 2002 he wrote an Incarnate Manifesto, published in the catalogue book that accompanied his solo exhibition Alquimia Profana at Daniel Maman Fine Art. ________________________________________________
He made four books of bibliophilia, one of them with Fernando Arrabal and Milan Kundera (Two Letters), exhibited for the first time at the individual exhibition Alejandría (organized by the Centro Cultural Borges, 2004). ________________________________________________

As a film maker he directed around thirty experimental short films (Barroco Natural, El primer paisaje de un hombre). In 1989 he was named Special Guest at the First Art Biennial of Young Art for his whole movies (Centro Cultural Recoleta, Buenos Aires), and, in 1997, The Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires orginezed his first short film retrospective. He writes together with the legendary and classic Argentinean painter Luis Felipe Noé (father of the filmmaker Gaspar Noé), the movie script Recontrapoder. ________________________________________________

He has developed actions as the canonization of Luce Moreau Arrabal ate the front door of the Notre-Dame of Paris, giving her the title of Saint Lis before two thousand of people and the presence of the Collège de ‘Pataphysique. Before that, he had canonized Fernando Arrabal in Buenos Aires. ________________________________________________
