I was born in Jansnaja Poljana into a wealthy family !
My mother died when i was just a small boy, it was very hard for me to remember her face, this made me very sad !One of my brothers died very young, he played in the garden with us, and buried a little branch in the ground. He then told us that one day when somebody found it the whole world would come together in peace and harmony !I turned my back on the greek-catholic church and my personal belief ! But it became a struggle all my life between belief and no belief.
After beeing witness to an ececution in Paris, whitch i found to be unhuman, i started to think anarcistic thoughts !Its been said that if life itself could write a book, it would have written War and Peace. A book with eternal laws for people and conflicts.
Dostojevskij named me the "god of art", but shamefully we never meet, i know he once was on his way to meet me but were adviced to return and did so.
I always wanted to meet my "brother" Fjodor Michailovich whitch have my deepest respect !I was thrown out of the russian church, for not beliving the miracles in the bible, and the fact that i belive that Jesus was a man like you and me, good but no god.Some wanted me to have the Nobelprice, but i didnt want it.I found it unmoral to eat meat, so i quited !And be kind to the animals, they are humanitys only friendsMy work for non-violence, and peace is the most important in my life, and i influenced many after my time, like Mr Gandhi in India.At the age of 82 i left my home to be free, and wrote a letter saing goodbye to family and whife !I ended my life at Astapova railwaystation on Novemer 20, 1910.My last words were : Let me give you a piece of advice : Lev Tolstoj is not the only human beeing on this planet, yet all i ever hear you talking about is Lev Tostoj.My grave, after my own wish is very simle, placed in the gardens of Jasnaja Poljana were my beloved brother placed the little branch when i was a small kid !"We are all passengers on the path of life, some get on, some get off"
