If you’re lookin’ for a real contemporary country dance style that sounds and looks like 21st century, try SEXY TEXAS!
All-girl dance group from Poland. They started out as an informal bunch of three wild girls who danced spontaneously to the live music of Polish country star Lonstar, during his concerts. Lonstar called them (quite adequately!) SEXY TEXAS and the name has stuck. The audience wanted more, so the girls decided to form a regular group which has become an instant success, gliding smoothly to the fore of Polish country dance scene. SEXY TEXAS already appeared on a number of concerts and club events in Poland, Czech Republic, Lithuania and Germany. They also dance in "Friends in Low Places" show voted Country Event of the Year 2005 by Polish CMA Awards.
In 2006, SEXY TEXAS performed at several important country events in Poland: annual "Trucker Country 2006", at the "Country Top" Festival and others. They are initiators and leading force behind the first Polish Country Line Dance Marathon, during the workshops conducted by the professional dance instructor Ron Welters from the World Country Dance Federation. At the International Country Picnic in Mragowo 2006 the girls danced as guest act on Lonstar’s jubilee show. Month later SEXY TEXAS appeared on "Northeim Goes Country" festival in Germany, and next girls performed at 14 GACMF Award Gala in Erfurt.
In 2007 they also performed at the important and interesting events: "Motor Bike Shows"- the biggest motor bike fair in Poland and at the "Mercedes Benz Country Tour" - during five weeks traveling through all Poland, sharing their dances and joy of life with the truckers.
And of course they’re present at every important events in Poland as COUNTRY PICNIC in Mragowo and WESTERN PICNIC in Sulomino.
SEXY TEXAS truly live up to their name: they are Texas at its best. And they ARE sexy alright!
