About Me

Most often when you hear the phrase "singer/songwriter," one thinks of a soulful, emotional and independent artist expressing themselves on the acoustic guitar or piano in coffee shops or small clubs. Joyce Lee, on the other hand, is a different kind of singer/songwriter.
Although Joyce was classically trained to play the piano and sung in church choirs since she was 5 years old, Joyce Lee decided to pursue a different musical pursuit after she fell in love with rock n' roll. At 16 years old, she began teaching herself to play the guitar and starting writing her first songs - primarily from a punk rock influence. However, because of her diverse background, Joyce's influences range from not only punk rock but to jazz/blues, classical, pop and even metal.
