Biography
Caz has been singing, playing the guitar, and writing songs
since her teens, singing professionally from 1983.
Her stage name was Caz Country
Her show at this time, consisted purely of her first love, Country music,
inspired by artists, like Dolly Parton
She specialized in putting together themed County evenings
and would often appear, as part of a duo, or trio
Caz was always inspired and supported, by her parents
her mother, a one time singer in revues and stage shows
and her father a one time clarinetist and band leader
Caz sang and played with various bands,
including Johnny Ramone & The Strollers
where she was the lead girl Vocalist
Caz made her first album There's You on E.S.R. Records
and was also offered a record deal by Comstock Records
As Caz Country she was managed by her father, Johnny Barron
Caz worked for the top local agents
and many of the venues were well known local one's
including Shaldon Water Carnival, Yellow Rose Country Club and Exeter Speedway
Caz Country at the Yellow Rose Country Club, Newton Abbot.
However from 1989, things moved forward
Caz auditioned for Opportunity Knocks
and played some prestigious Country music festivals
including Berkshire's Ist Country Music Festival
and the Barnstaple Country Music Festival
Caz at the Country Music Jamboree
at Exeter Speedway
Caz appeared at the Devon County Show
Which was broadcast by BBC Radio Devon
..
In 1992, in order to appeal to a wider audience
Caz changed her name to CAZ BARRON
This now saw Caz performing, in Clubs,
Holiday Parks, and Hotels
Her show now, included more standards, MOR,
and audience participation
CAZ BARRON
is now, a highly sought after, and successful act,
in the South-West of England
With weekly spots, at top venues in the area
