About Me

Jason Rogers http://JasonRogersCountry.bebo.com/
The power of music is hearing another's heart, another's thoughts, communicated in a way that touches you from the inside. Music bares our innermost thinking, and in doing so, we relate to someone else's experience, pain, and joy. Through this we separate ourselves, for just a moment, from the everyday challenges of this life and fully enjoy the simple things that this life has afforded us. As an artist, you have the desire to create these shared experiences, be they good or bad, with those around you, and to in turn sense their response as they relate to your same experiences. For Jason Rogers, music has always been a central part of life. Growing up in a small, rural community in eastern Canada, Jason's character was rooted in a simple, less complicated way of life that has always been intrinsic to country music. Jason was completely at home just exploring nature. Hobbies such as hunting and fishing were activities that really brought a sense of both adventure and fulfillment and personified his perspective on what life should really be about.Jason's passion for music first displayed when, at age two, he began performing Glen Campbell's "Rhinestone Cowboy" for his parents and any company that may have happened by the house. This desire to perform drove Jason to become accomplished in playing piano, guitar, and percussion instruments. With these abilities, Jason moved beyond performance and began to create his own music and express his talent in a more personal way.At the age of 25, he moved to pursue a career amidst the legendary sounds of Nashville. It would have seemed to him at the time, that some options in life are only available to those who have the resources to explore those opportunities. Perhaps, it is more in God's timing and a function of our own experiences that we are placed in a setting where we are ready to accept some of these challenges.Living in Nashville has given Jason a few opportunities to grow as a songwriter and musician, such as his time on the stage to accompany a contestant in the "Nashville Star". Dedicating most of his efforts to songwriting, he has enjoyed the opportunity to perform his own songs at the classic old bar, the "Broken Spoke".Jason was married in 2004. It was not until the following year that Jason and his wife were able to enjoy a honeymoon in Hawaii. While there he was able to visit a music store. As he strummed a guitar, another person in the store recognized his talent. This man, who had worked in the music industry for some time, was impressed with what he heard and, after some conversation, asked Jason if he would be interested in recording a couple of songs Jason had written. More importantly, he placed Jason in contact with a well-known music artist in the Nashville area.Jason Rogers has recently finished his 1st album produced by Martin Young of Music City Productions. The 12 song album will be available via internet soon.
