Stephani Krise

Following her heart to country music, Stephani Krise is on a musical journey with a passion that is running through her blood. “This is what I’ve always wanted. It just feels right, like finally being at home.”
Born in Arizona, Stephani’s family moved to California before she could walk, returning to the desert when she was eight years old. Krise began singing both in church and performing in musicals. Clearly a musician at heart, she not only accompanies her vocals with the guitar, but also plays the flute and the harp.
Stephani’s talent extends into the world of writing as well, along with her singing. She co-wrote many of the tracks on her new album, and the album also feature’s a song written entirely by her, Song for You. “This song is very special and personal to me because it is the first time that I was able to express myself in a song both musically and lyrically.”
Krise began her career in music at the age of eighteen. Her first single, Tell it to the Moon, made the Billboard Dance Charts, and was written by famed songwriter Diane Warren. Although Krise stepped out of the country genre with this ballad-turned-dance song, recording a song written by Diane Warren was a dream come true for the young artist. Warren has composed songs for such renowned musical talent as Carrie Underwood, LeAnn Rimes, Faith Hill, and Tim McGraw.
“Music is my life and singing is my passion.” Although Krise enjoys many genres of music, country has always held a special place in her heart. Enter into the picture producer Billy Smiley from Nashville, TN. Producing such artists as Steven Curtis Chapman, White Heart, The Normals, and Be Be and Ce Ce Winans, Smiley is excited about the future for Stephani.
“Country is one format I think that will really embrace a new talent such as Stephani, and as she tours and travels, I am sure the fans she picks up along the way will grow with her and her music.” Smiley stated. Stephani has also expressed particular delight in having more involvement in the music and direction that she loves on her new album, set to release through Southern Skye/Universal in late 2008.
With a father that was raised on a ranch and a mother that grew up riding horses, country seems to come naturally to Krise. “I have an amazing family. Without their support, I would not be where I am today. I love hanging out with my friends. We have fun no matter what we’re doing. I am also passionate about God, sports, politics, and children.” Active in church, Krise hopes to change the world someday through her music. As a self-professed lover of pink, Stephani’s pink cowboy boots perfectly illustrate her music’s down-home, yet modern feel, which is a consistent theme that runs throughout her lyrics and music. ♥
