THE BIG O ELVIS SPECTACULAR
I currently perform with the "Thankuverymuch" Orchestra in Melbourne Australia. We try very hard to sound like Roy Orbison live in concert.
Joining me on stage is the fabulous Johnny Memphis who brings back the sound and moves of Mr Elvis Presley with great style and panache.
I perform with a very tight and professional band featuring great musicians such as Trevor McQuade, Gary Winchester, Sam Incata and Patrick Lundin we all have some great fun recreating some of Roy and Elvis's greatest hits.
A couple of very talented singers in there own right, Miss Laura Armstrong and Miss Megan Kelleher also help make the experience and "the show" first class. One thing I have discovered is that just like the ELVIS devotees, Roy's fans never get tired of hearing his music. It is a great privelage and honor to perform as Roy. No one will ever sound exactly like Roy- He was just too good........
LOVE DREAM (2007)
All of the band worked together on the featured song "Love Dream" which I originally wrote in 1992.
It is dedicated to Roy and I thank all of the band and especially Trevor McQuade and Kye Thomas for making it come to life.
RIGHT HERE INSIDE MY HEART (2008)
This song was written by a very talented friend of mine by the name of Joe Mandica. He has a cd out at the moment and when I first heard it I just about loved every song on it. In particular this song stuck out as one that I could imagine Roy doing if he was still around today. It echoe's the sentiment of many of Roy's songs. Love lost - heart ache - the realization that a partnership is finally over.I hope you like it.
THE PRAYER (2003)
I originally recorded this song with my daughter when she was just 10 years old. I was and still am very proud of her. She only was able to rehearse it 3 or 4 times before we hurredly had it recorded in a studio at 9.30am one Saturday morning.
The original song is recorded by Andre Boccelli and Celine Dion. It is one of the greatest pop songs ever written. Of course David Foster was co-writer he is one of my favorite songwriters. It should have been a bigger hit but I think the Italian was not popular in most Western Countries. If you get the chance have a listen to the Original it will blow your socks off, particularly Andre's last note.
My daughter Taylor and I recorded it for my mothers 70th Birthday a couple of years ago.
COME A LITTLE BIT CLOSER (2008)
I thought I would have a go at this great song by Jay and the Americans. many people mistakenly think Roy actually released this song and i have to admit Jay does sound very similar. Jay had a go at Crying in one of the albums from the late 60's but of course it didn't come close to the Big O. I do like this song and felt he did a great job of it.
It is one of my favorites alongside Cara mia

He has released his first CD which is a Knockout. Make sure you give all his songs a listen they are original and have a great quality about them, lots of melody and great lyrics. Joe also wrote "Here inside my heart" which I mention above

- I love his song "PARADISE" Tom has a unique sound ,yet there is a familiarity to his tunes that makes you want to st and listen!
Then there is BUDDY HODGES - I recommend "Life of a song"

If you are into Country Music you have to check out Bruce Hodges at BLUERIDGE COUNTRY 98 FM. He runs the show out of Virginia in the United States and he is been extremely encouraging and supportive to myself, Taylor and many other non mainstream artists. Good on yer Bruce..
