In the 50's it was a Cinema - In the 70's it was a Bingo Hall - In the 90's it was a Wetherspoons. Now in the 21st Century, The City Gate for everyones information is no longer a Wetherspoons nor a Workingmans Club. It is now one of the largest up and coming Entertainment Pub / Bars in Norwich (a place to be seen), catering to all ages from 18 to 80. The bar offers a large range of spirits, lagers, ales and shooters. On the Entertainment side we have a wide genre on the schedule from Solo/Duos acts, Bands, Guest DJ's, Theme Nights to the usual Pub / Bar entertainment such as Student Nights, Open Mic & Open Jam Nights to the most popular Karaoke Nights every Saturday from 8.30pm. There are 25 Free Parking spaces at night on Heigham Steeet and there is also a secure Council car park next to Barn Road at a cost of £1.60 from 6.30 pm to 5.00 am.
