The Movement Magazine is an alternative bi-weekly publication focusing on local culture, events, and entertainment. Also International Artists. It targets the progressive, independent, and artistic demographic, and covers a wide array of topics including:
• Political injustice• Lack of music education
• Commercialization of religion
• Downward spiral of the music industry
• Greed and the destructive love of money
• Distorted role of police to arrest and extort
• Communal poisoning by industry inspired hip-hop
• Drug use and distribution in the Black community
• Elimination of funk and rock music from Black consciousnessThe goal of The Movement is to build and strengthen the community by highlighting the issues and offering feasible and provocative solutions. It also offers the business owner, musician, and entrepreneur an opportunity to advertise at reasonable rates and further realize their own goals for community building.
