Achim Reschke is living and working near Cologne, Germany. After growing up with classical music he turned to rock and acoustic instrumental music, mainly on the guitar. His interest in improvisation and composing led him to studying jazz guitar at the College of Music in Cologne. Aside from playing live, teaching the electric and acoustic guitar and giving clinics on improvisation, Achim writes and produces pop and rock songs. Recently, he contributed to Nita's album releases in Japan and Switzerland. His influences are diverse (depending on the focus of his work): Lenny Kravitz, Stevie Wonder, Jimi Hendrix, Stone Temple Pilots, Foo Fighters, but also America, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, or Alanis Morissette and Pink.
Q: When did you start playing music?
A: I started at the age of seven with the piano and focused on the guitar when I was fourteen.
Q: Which musicians impressed you most?
Q: Why do you prefer the guitar?
A: I can feel myself in harmony with everything and everyone when I play the acoustic guitar. And I can freak out on the electric. It feels
incredibly good to control every facet of the notes you play with your fingertips.

A: I dig Hoobastank, Stone Temple Pilots, James Morrison, Amy Winehouse, Tom Waits, Stevie Wonder, ethnic music, classical music, blues, jazz, funk.
Q: What are you working on at the time?
A: I have been recording Blues and New Orleans style music with Dr Rhythm and Mr Jive, and I am co-writing songs with the highly talented artist Taryn Murphy from the USA, as well as with ELLI, former German Star Search winner with a huge voice, for their upcoming albums.
