Influences: Cars. Women. Guitars. Lonely hearts in ghost town saloons, crying over lost love while the cow skull on the wall laughs. Back seats turned into “Jungle Roomsâ€, illuminated only by the light of the dashboard’s Motorola radio. Lost souls walkin to the Greyhound, ordinary Joes who get stupid in the face of beauty. Open road adventures that thumb a defiant nose to the Last Chance Gas sign. Geeky four-eyed Poindexters who win the hottest girl. Vixens described as “little meteorites†and “diabla bonitasâ€. Toyota van driving wimps who lose their baby’s heart to a 32 chopped top Ford with flames, driven by a ‘real hot rod man’, who remains faceless. Stories sung to the sound of a hollowbody guitar through a tube amp, a little echo, an electric stand up bass, and some skins. Faithful to the Blues, with a little Swing, Jazz, and even Country mixed in to spice it up. And a healthy amount of Rock and Roll delivery.
This is the vision of three musicians; inked out, greased up, shaven down, and chain wallet driven. Fast Otto (Tim Hall - Guitar/Vocals, Tom Clowry - Bass, and Rob Thompson - Drums) have fashioned up a musical style which they affectionately call “Bluesabilly Deluxeâ€.“This is the real stuff, plain ol', home-made R & R. This is where it all started 50+ years ago and with the condition of the music industry in recent years it may soon be the only thing left standing . . . and that's OK with me.†- Mark Sorenesen
