In 2005, longtime friends and homies, Oscar Vazquez and Liliana Garcia-Rivera visualized organizing the lowriding community to come together and promote higher education for our young raza. Last year, with the support of friends:Carlos C. de Baca, Carlos Vasquez, Los Bomberos de San Diego, Ricardo Islas, Chikle, Mario Lopez, Tribal Gear, Dyse One, Xavier the X-Man, and the San Diego Lowrider Carclub Council, Lowriders for Education hosted their first car show and we have many more events and projects in the works.Klique Car Club has taken the lead and various other San Diego car clubs have come together as Lowriders for Education to raise money to help students from San Diego High and other local barrio schools participate in college tours and receive much needed scholarships.
