Galadhrim is a solo project which has been inspired greatly by both the mythologies of my ancestry and my love of Fantasy literature. The music is predominantly instrumental, though there will be occasional tracks that include lyrics. The overall sound I'm aiming to achieve is ambient folk, but with a feeling of epicness to it.
The name Galadhrim comes from Tolkien's writing. It translates from the Sindarin tongue as 'People of the Trees'. This was the name given to the Elves of Lothlorien by their Northern kin because of their practise of dwelling within the branches of the 'Mellyn' (or Mallorn) trees of their land.
I am currently working on a six track demo called 'The Warrior's Road', which is progressing well. There is information about it in my blog. I'll be updating people about my progress over the coming weeks. And I should have samples on the page very soon, all being well.
Galadhrim does not represent political ideologies within its music. Nor do I condone the misuse of any Pagan symbology.
