DJ Mike Nox

Hey, My DJ name is Mike Nox. I have recently began producing my own tracks. I am 22 years old from Yonkers, New York, about 20mins outside of NYC. I spin all types of electronic music, but especially enjoy progressive house. When I was 17 years old I began listening to electronic music, mostly trance. My initial influences are Marco V and Ferry Corsten who seeing live several times plunged me even further into music. From trance I started listening to more progressive and housey DJ's such as D-Formation, Steve Lawler, Superchumbo, Danny Tenaglia, and Victor Calderone. What began as a hobby, house music soon became a love of mine, attending NYC clubs Pacha, Crobar, Shelter, Spirit, and Avalon weekly. Each time I went I became more and more attached to the music I knew my knowledge of the varieties of EDM were very large and I decided to take a step in the rigt direction by enrolling in Dubspot, an audio and video djing school in Manhattan. There i began spinning and realizing that DJing could happen and that my love for the music would pay off. I learned the basics of djing and give all the credit to the dubspot staff, especially JP Solis who helped me tremendously.I have been spinning records ever since and have just begun to produce my own remixes and tracks. My personal sound is very deep progressive with a New York Underground spin on them, with specific influences of Peter Bailey, Richie Santana, D-Formation, Steve Lawler, DJ Vibe, and Marco V. Every day I grow musically and grow closer to my dream. I hope to be able to travel and perform for crowds worldwide as well as maintain my New York base djing in the clubs. Any questions message me.
