Jack Floyd

Jack Floyd (alias Giacomo Petroni) nasce a Lucca nel 1979 e inizia a studiare pianoforte fin da piccolo.
Nel 1993 inizia a prendere confidenza con i giradischi dove, mixando i suoi dischi preferiti, accresce la sua passione per la musica elettronica e psichedelica, passione che lo porta ad affinare sempre più il suo stile verso la house music e ad affermarsi presso le piu' quotate discoteche locali.
Nel 1998 inizia a campionare vari samples di vecchi dischi famosi e, nel 2000, soddisfa il suo desiderio di comporre e produrre il suo primo singolo: "Move your feet"; il disco esce su Sony Music e diventa ben presto una delle hit dell'estate 2001, con partecipazione del cantante Scott Foster al Festivalbar 2001!!!
Da qui, decide di continuare le sue produzioni avvalendosi della collaborazione di artisti internazionali e dell'esperienza di importanti labels quali la Ocean Trax e la Confidential Records.
Da settembre 2003 inizia la collaborazione con Beside Music e Nut in Bag. Grazie a questa nuova esperienza, e grazie soprattutto a Paolo Bova (general manager della Beside/Nut), Jack ha la possibilità di sperimentare e produrre dischi con sonorità elettroniche e teck-house, genere musicale che ha sempre seguito e "suonato" nei vari locali.
Da Luglio 2006 inizia una nuova collaborazione con Kikko De Luca, dietro lo pseudonimo di “LIMOUSINE”.
Nell'estate 2006, Jack è stato guest nella serata del martedì al Love Club di Ibiza ed è stato protagonista di un tour che lo ha visto impegnato ad agosto in Grecia e Macedonia.
A dicembre 2006, Jack assieme a Sergio Matina dà vita a quello che sarà uno dei parties più esclusivi: “THE B!TCH”. Nato come party allo Chalet delle Rose (Bologna), diventa una one-night che tocca i migliori clubs italiani e stranieri (Barcellona, in diversi clubs e raves a San Paolo - Brasile, in Russia, etc…).
A giugno 2007, sempre con Sergio Matina, creano una nuova label chiamata “Tendenza Records” che non tarderà a distinguersi tra le altre.
Da aprile 2008, Jack accetta una nuova collaborazione discografica con la “Sound 4 Group” (con a capo Stefano Noferini) e le sue nuove produzioni escono sulla prestigiosa label “Deeperfect”.
Attualmente Jack Floyd propone, nei vari clubs internazionali, dj set elettronici e teck-house, riscuotendo i migliori favori del pubblico e delle critiche delle più specializzate riviste del settore.
Jack Floyd (alias Giacomo Petroni) was born in Lucca (Italy) in 1979. He has been playing piano since he was a child.
In 1993 he started to play with record players and it's mixing his favourite music that his passion and knoledge of electronic and psychedelic music grown up. Later his style becomes closer to house music and he starts to be known and appreciated in local discos.
In 1998 he started to sampling old famous vinyl samples and in 2000 his wish bechles true, he writes and produces his first single "Move Your Feet" which soon becames a hit single of summer 2001. The single has been produced for Ocean Trax and published by Sony Music.
From then on, he keeps on producing music in collaboration with international artists and with the experience of important labels like Ocean Trax and Confidential Records.
From september 2003, he start a new collaboration with Beside Music, a new italian label. Thank to this new experience, Jack can test and produce music with electronic and teck-house sounds. It’s a kind of music that, ever, he proposed and played in discos. House of People "Asian love" is one of the project that Jack co-produced and remixed. His two hard tracks were in the bags of the most important house djs.
In september 2006, he remixed a music for Chris Hampshire called "Coming Back For More", released on "Delux Groove" (UK) in april 2006.
From July 2006 he starts a new collaboration with "La Clip" team, composed by Kikko De Luca and Francesco De Santi.
And with these, he remixed "Sweat - Let's Go" that will be release in the autumn, together they remixed the new single of Aris Tomas and they are producing a new music for a new project singed by Patrix Duenas and called "LIMOUSINE".
In the summer 2006, Jack will be guest in thursday at Love Club (Ibiza) and he will be protagonist in a Greece & Macedonian Tour, in august.
In december 2006, together with SERGIO MATINA, started a new exclusive party born at Chalet delle Rose (Bologna-Italy): "THE B!TCH". This party is became an important "one-night" in tour in the most important clubs.
In march 2007, in WCM in Miami, it was released his new single called "Ordinary War" on Aenaria Recordings/Fatal Music Group (NL)... contains a "PurePath Rmx", too.
In June 2007, ever with Sergio Matina, they created a new label called "Tendenzia Records" that received great feedback from the most important djs and labels all around the world.
In the summer 2007 he has played in Barcelona (Spain), in clubs and raves in San Paolo (Brasil) and in much Italian clubs!!! In the autumn/winter Jack will play in Russia, too!
From april 2008, Jack accept a new collaboration with “Sound 4 Group” (head by Stefano Noferini) and he release his new productions on “Deeperfect”.
Actually, Jack Floyd plays electronic and teck/house dj set in lots of international clubs, receiving the support of the night-people and medias.
