Singer/Songwriter/Arranger/Educator, Tejib has performed a wide range of music, including Jazz, R&B, Funk, Gospel, and Classical. His eclectic taste in different musical styles enabled him to find his home singing and writing soul music. His performances have ranged from a featured soloist for a tribute concert to the great Max Roach in the San Francisco Jazz Festival, to a featured solo performance on PBS special broadcast by WGBH which aired nation wide last season. Tejib has performed on the New York music scene at various venues such as Soul Café, Le Barbat, and Dillon’s Supper Club. Currently, Tejib is performing at various venues in the San Francisco bay area music scene.Tejib has performed in the Boston Pops combined choir of the Tanglewood Concert choir and the Boston Pops Gospel Choir, and was a selected vocalist from the New England Conservatory for a concert in Symphony Hall. He was also a featured soloist with the Grammy in the School Big band at the “Jazz on the Hill†Festival.Tejib has completed his undergraduate degree in the spring of 2001 at the New England Conservatory of Music in the area of Jazz Studies and Music Education in Boston, Massachusetts. At the Conservatory, Tejib studied with Grammy nominated Dominique Eade, legendary bassist Cecil McBee, and pianist/ composer Ran Blake. While a high school student, Tejib studied privately with Molly Holmes a predecessor of Bobby Mc Ferrin. Tejib graduated in 1997 under the direction of Sharon Meggers from the San Francisco High School of the Performing Arts.
