Hello and Welcome! My name is Maria, but please feel free to call me Marie, or Mashka. I'm the daughter of Czar Nicholas the Second, and his wife the Czarina Alexandra, which makes me a Grand Duchess.. Please don't bother yourself with titles though, we find them embarrasing. We, being my older sisters Olga and Tatiana, my younger sister Anastasia, and younger brother Alexsei.I share a bedroom with my sister Anastasia, and we are known in the family as the "Little Pair." Anastasia tends to dominate me with her energy and enthusiasm, but I don't mind.I would love to one day be married to a Russian soldier and have many children. I love babies and often can't resist picking them up and cuddling with them :0) I am a little boy crazy, but mama hopes that will disappear as I get older.During World War One, I was too young to become a nurse like my mama and older sisters, so I played games with the soldiers and tried to lift their spirits. I hope I was able to help!Although some people may think my papa was not a good man, in reality he was an excellent father and the best husband possible for my mama.
