About Me

My name is Olga Nikolaievna Romanov. I was born on November 5th/15th 1895. I am the eldest daughter Tsar Nicolas II and Tsarina Alexandra Romanov of Russia. I was later joined by Tatiana, Maria, Anastasia and Alexei. My friends and family generally called me simply Olga Nikolaevna or my nicknames "Olishka" or "Olya". I was most often paired with my sister Tatiana. Tanya and I shared a room, dressed alike, and were known as "The Big Pair". I was known for my compassionate heart and desire to help others, but also for my temper, blunt honesty and moodiness. Unlike my siblings I loved to read and enjoyed school work. My tutor Pierre Gilliard stated that I have a remarkably quick brain, reasoning powers as well as initiative, a very independent manner, and a gift for swift and entertaining repartee. I also enjoyed reading about politics and read newspapers. I also read my Mama's books before she does to make sure they are suitable for her to read.

My Interests

Reading, Learning, Spending time with my Papa, Flirting with the Royal Guards, and Soldiers. Hanging out with my sisters.
