About Me

www.amyphotochicago.com
CHICAGO PHOTOGRAPHER
Hello, everyone! My name is Amy Aiello. I am a full time helicopter camera operator currently sub-contracted by NBC 5 Chicago (formerly for ABC 7 Chicago) during the week, and a freelance photographer on weekends and other spare moments of time. I'm currently working with the Chicago Music Guide as a photographer, too.
My style is a hybrid of photojournalism and fine art. I am also a member of the Digital Wedding Forum and the National Association of Photoshop Professionals. I do my best to keep on learning the latest techniques in both photography and photo retouching.
I graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2005, and hold a major in Media Studies (Communications), a minor in Broadcast Journalism, and a minor in Fashion. I also have a strong background in theatre and music.
I've been playing classical piano for about 15 years now, and am currently studying piano performance under Alexander Djordjevic , and hope to one day obtain a degree in performance.
I am a firm believer in continued education, even if it is self taught. I am always studying the technique and styles of fellow photographers, and am always open to offer the same in return.
I especially love to travel, and have been known to offer special pricing for anyone who would like to book my services anywhere in the world.
Please visit my professional blog at http://amyaiello.blogspot.com for updates on my current projects!
