About Me

1970 ~ Born and raised in upstate New York, I grew up in a family environment where art and creativity were encouraged and nurtured. I was lucky enough to have inherited my fathers genes & therefore graced with an instinctual artistic ability from a very young age.Aside from a bachelors degree in commercial photography, I have a solid background in advertising and graphic design. I started out in the advertising industry as a graphic designer. After attending the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale, I began my career in early 1990 as a design & layout artist for a desktop publishing firm in upstate New York. Over the next ten years I progressed through several design companies and high end sign shops. Developing my artistic eye and my design skills, I culminated my design career as an in house designer & production manager for a large sporting goods distributor in the skydiving industry.Having had a passion for photography for many years I decided to return to school in late 2001. I moved from New York to California to attend Brooks Institute of Photography. I graduated with honors in October of 2004. From there I began working as a freelance commercial photographer in the Los Angeles and Ventura county areas. I also began assisting in Los Angeles with several prominent automotive photographers with whom I continue to work currently.I am accomplished in all types of commercial photography from automotive to product work, as well as editorial and people photography. I also have specific training in underwater photography, shooting both for fine art and commercial purposes.I am able to blend my artistic background and my technical photography training with inspiration from nature and my surroundings to create a unique vision for your company or your personal projects.
