CANADA! Whatever your politics, please support our troops and veterans! There is no finer class of human being that walks this earth. May we remember them always, and pray for their safety and their families.
I am not a soldier, but this page was created as a tribute and memorial to all our American soldiers and veterans, to the fallen and the fighting, to their family and friends back home supporting our men and women in uniform. I am so blessed to have met you all; there are so many wonderful people here. All I ask of any guests is that respect be given to our troops and veterans, and courtesy be shown to all.
I would also like to give a special shout to all our allies and international supporters. Canada, Australia, NZ and Britain, among many others are our blood brothers in fighting the good fight. There are many nations that deserve our thanks for the service of their troops on both Iraq and Afghanistan. Some, but not all of the flags of those nations are flying here, and I plan to add more. Let us also not forget the soldiers of Russia, who are indeed fighting terrorism in Chechnya regardless of controversy--I was amazed to get emails from Russian soldiers expressing support and brotherhood toward you, and wishing for the same in return.
ALL SUPPORTERS are welcome here, and the goal is to get as many of you to join and contribute as possible---ESPECIALLY SOLDIERS. This site is brand new (4/27/2007)and with some luck and work, hopefully we can evolve into actually doing something more concrete and meaningful than just a tribute page for our soldiers and veterans. I would also like to request prayers for Cathy of the US Navy WWII Memorial who is struggling daily with her health: Cathy, you are wonderful and you are in my prayers. We love you and I am so blessed to be your friend. Nobody does more for our troops and veterans on myspace than you, and we need you here :). May the Lord grant you mercy and strength. Please help me to identify the soldier in the display picture. The wounded Marine in the picture "Generations of Valor" is Mark Graunke Jr. I had always tried to identify also the ranger in the video I have posted. I am very sorry to say I learned only recently that the man's name is Sgt. Eric Vick, and that he was killed in Baghdad last April. May he rest in peace...Sgt. Vick and people like him are my inspiration in life and my heroes always, and so are all of our troops; may we always remember them and be thankful. Feel free to explore and repost anything you find here and share your thoughts. Please enjoy the excellent videos and sign the guestbook if you have a few minutes, and check out the blogs as well. It is my hope that we can all have a page that gives thanks for the sacrifices of so many of our citizens, and at the same time engage in an intelligent and respectful discussion about American foreign policy and ALL THINGS MILITARY. The message and goal of this site is to tell you: THERE IS MEANING AND HOPE TO THE FIGHT YOU ARE IN, WE DO REMEMBER AND CARE ABOUT YOU ALL, WE SUPPORT YOU, AND WE ALL THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS!!! WE WILL NEVER FORGET ALL YOU HAVE DONE!! And, just maybe, we can all help each other find the healing and the deeper meaning we now need so badly along the way. All respectful opinions from any political position are welcome. There are enormous numbers of us here at home; Republican, Democrat, or otherwise, who are PROUD to be American and DEEPLY GRATEFUL TO OUR SOLDIERS AND VETERANS FOR ALLOWING EVERY ONE OF US TO SLEEP UNDER THE BLANKET OF FREEDOM. Let's see where this page can take us. GET BEHIND OUR TROOPS AND VETERANS, and God Bless America!!!Layout Provided By FreeCodeSource.com - Myspace Layoutshref="http://www.msplinks.com/MDFodHRwOi8vd3d3Lm15c3BhY2UuY2 9tL3ZpZXRuYW12ZXRlcmFucw==" target="_blank"

This is not my personal page but I owe it to you to tell you exactly who I am. First, I personally believe that the US military is the best thing that has ever happened to the human race. My name is Alex Slocum, I am 24, from Chelsea Michigan. I lost a good friend, LCPL Cliff R. Collinsworth in Ramadi, October 21 2006. My Great Grandfather Stephen J Huszar was killed in the Army in Southern France, 1944. Both these men and all our soldiers are my heroes forever, and are my inspiration in life and for this page. I am studying political science and history, and when I finish at Michigan State University I plan to attend law school. Nothing is set in stone, but I intend to use every ounce of my ability to work through law, government, and politics as a career toward improving America as a nation and a people---and help create the better world that is possible for us all. I am not against the Iraq war, but I am against all those who mismanaged it so badly and turned it from a victory into an ongoing tragedy. I also believe there is hope; we can win, and we MUST win--we don't have the luxury of simply leaving this time as in Vietnam. And I don't want all the blood and pain to be in vain. I will tell you that I am a conservative, but I welcome all opinions and I am always growing intellectually and as an individual. I have a wide range of strong beliefs from both sides of the political aisle, and I suspect many of you as Americans are exactly the same. Every citizen of this country has the right to a voice and a view, and should feel free to express it here as long as care is taken to avoid offense.

Heroes:

Jesus Christ of course. The American soldier is the best thing that has ever happened to the human race since Jesus Christ. In this life---three heroes occupy the number one spot on the list as people I truly worship. My Great Grandfather--PFC Stephen J Huszar killed in WWII, my good friend LCPL Cliff Collinsworth of Chelsea-killed in Ramadi, And the wounded Marine in the picture above; Mark Graunke Jr. All US soldiers and veterans will be my heroes forever, there is no higher class of human being that walks this earth. My grandparents are also my heroes. So is anyone who struggles past hardships and pain that would more than kill most of us. So is everyone who works and fights to do what they know in their heart is right, and is right for the world. My heroes are also all those helpless and miserable who are oppressed anywhere in the world: Those who lift their eyes to the sky and pray that God bring from above a future worth living for....like it or not, it often arrives with the words "United States" painted on the side.
