SILVER STAR FAMILIES ANNOUNCES NEW ONLINE SUPPORT PROGRAM FOR OUR KIDS!!
Silver Star Families of America and Hear4You is very pleased and excited to announce this new program. The program officially launches on August 1st, 2007.
Hear-4-You is an online support system using email and MSN Instant Messenger. The support line will be manned by volunteers within our SSFOA organization. We are not professionals, we are just regular people who CARE for you and want to LISTEN to you when you need to talk. We will not judge or try to advise you, we simply want to provide you with a safe haven to speak your mind and get things off of your chest. If you need to speak with a professional we will be able to direct you to what you need.
This program is open to ALL. All Service Members - Active duty or not, all family members or friends of Vets who just need someone to talk to. Our volunteers are people just like you, Mom's, Wives, Friends of Vets. We've been where you are and we're good listeners.
Want to talk to us? Please check it out! Hear-4-You Following this link will provide you with information as to how to contact us.

Do you ever just need someone to talk to? Someone who has experienced a lot of what you have, who will LISTEN and not judge or try to tell you what to do? Sometimes that "someone" is just impossible to find. Why not try talking to Pappy?
Who is Pappy, you ask...Pappy is the Old Sergeant, and he is way past retirement but the Army NEEDS him because he is the only one who can actually run it. He demands respect--not with his words, but with his heart and receives that respect--even from the "brass." AND He does NOT like the "Brass" but he would and has given his own self to protect his "kids" or his "goon squad" as he calls them sometimes. Pappy is hard on the Generals, ect, and though he is from the wonderful state of Missouri--he has a heart as huge as the whole USA---BUT he will not admit it.
The main thing is Pappy LOVES our kids serving this country, he will give anything --even his own life---to protect them. This thing with the lack of treatment for PTSD has him furious. He wants again to protect our "kids" from the system, Pappy wants them to talk to him. He is an Old Sergeant, tuff as nails, and all heart.
---well that is our Pappy. And he's here to listen to you if you want/need to talk. Give him a try.
Pappy can be reached here: [email protected]
The Padre wants to be available to you also...She's a good listener, and she's got great contacts, if you know what I mean *g*...
