music, movies, wine, martinis, sushi, cooking, knitting, ATS bellydance, reading, computers, yoga, enoying my new pool...I have a short attention span and can't stand to be bored so I'm always up to something!
New friends are always nice!
I am completely obsessed with most all forms of music, so there are entirely too many musicians to list! I especially love singer/songwriters and country music.
Some of my favs are: Matt Nathanson, Howie Day, John Mayer, James Blunt, Cowboy Mouth, John Prine, Bob Dylan, Jimmy Buffett, Johnny Cash, Rascal Flatts, Blake Shelton, Sarah McLachlan, Indigo Girls, George Strait....ok I can go on and on for days!
Hi my name is Artemis, and I have an addiction to buying DVDs! Seriously, I love movies and married a man who loves them almost as much as I do, so we have WAY too many DVDs! I guess if I had to list my ALL TIME favorites (in no particular order) they would be: Reality Bites, Sweet Home Alabama, To Kill a Mockingbird, Big Fish, Gone With The Wind, Walk The Line, Garden State.
I also have an unhealthy (or so my friends and hubby tell me) obsession with teen genre films, anime, and asian cinema (especially horror)
Whew another tough one to narrow down to just a few. In a nutshell, we love police and forensic dramas, all the CSIs (though Miami is my fav), Law and Order (especially SVU), Bones, Without a Trace, Criminal Minds, Cold Case, The Dead Zone...
As far as my absolute all-time favorite shows, none of which are still on the air, and all by Joss Whedon, that would have to be Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Angel, and Firefly (and yes, I do own the complete series of each of these on DVD as well)
This might be the hardest of all, because I've been a complete bookworm since I was a small child.
I guess I'll just say that I have a HUGE floor to nearly ceiling bookcase that is absolutely stuffed with all kinds of books. Some of my favorite authors are Anne Rice, Marion Zimmer Bradley, Madeleine L'Engle, Maeve Binchy, Frances Hodgson Burnett, Charlotte Bronte, Emily Bronte, Gaston Leroux, Bram Stoker, Victor Hugo, Aldous Huxley, Stephen King.....see, I told you this one would be hard!
I would have to say my hero will always be my mother. Those of you who never had the opportunity to know this woman can't possibly understand what an impact she had on everyone who's life she touched. I was truly blessed to have had her in my life for 19 years and will always carry her memory in my heart. If I manage to be HALF the mother she was, my children will be truly blessed.
