Colonel Robert Morris - Member of the Rockabilly and Traditional Country Halls of Fame
Robert feels blessed to have received induction into the Rockabilly Hall Of Fame, the Traditional Country Hall Of Fame, the Pioneer Lifetime Award from the Memphis Music Heritage Foundation, the Key To The City Of Memphis, Tennessee and the Mississippi Governor’s Award.
Following a career that has spanned over 30 years, Robert is now co-writing with Grand Ole Opry Star and Songwriter’s Hall Of Fame inductee, Charlie Louvin and was recently included in the 2007 Marquis Who’s Who In America.
CRM: The Early Years.
Born in Memphis Tennessee, Robert’s professional career started in the back room juke joints of Memphis. Working with the likes of Jerry Lee Lewis, Ma Rainey, Little Laura Dukes, Big Sam Clark and Charlie Feathers, Robert was part of the world famous "Memphis Sound".
The 70’s found Robert touring with Charlie Feathers and in the studio with Bill Glore at the historic American Studios in Memphis. In 1988, Robert and his beautiful wife Irene were cast in the Finnish movie,"Leningrad Cowboys Go America", an instant Cult Classic.
In 1995 Robert starting adding to his vast music catalog of well over 700 songs finding success with his hit song "The Trucker’s Last Ride", a song that is still enjoys succes in Country Music today.
