red square and the polite bureau formed in 1988 after red square found bruce springsteens guitar at the tunnel of love concert wembley stadium. they spent the night at the hilton hotel and as they say the rest is history. the bbc were running a comp with radio 1 and red aquare was lucky enough to win the guitar it was to be presented to red square on stage at wembley but someone lied and he ended up being presented with it back stage at the tunnel of love party. ( there are a lot of freeloaders in the music industry lesson one learnt ) with a little practice red and the guitar started to enjoy, and today write a song a day. the plan from the start was not to learn other peoples music off pat, but to play only original music, that's not to say red is not influenced by many musicians but it's not red's intention to copy. There has always been music in the house and i started with an acoustic guitar. even though i am a welsh man, i can't sing or i don't think i have a nice singing voice, and it's not bad enough to be good ( if you now what i mean ) Did write some songs with Angharad from honey fungus that got played in a bbc wales soap opra nuts and bolts again it's who you know not what you know. thanks Phil john. Angharad went off to join honey fugus then i had no singer. i had swapped the bruce telecaster for a car, but it came back with the help and kindness of another good friend Dai. So the acoustic had a rest and i took the electric up again. i record all the songs on a tascam digitaDP-01FX which has eight tracks. it's a good tool to write with. all of the sings are laid back must be because i have a good life without any stress or im laid back because the music de-stresses me (chicken or egg) i do write lyrics so i would like an other singer and i'm looking. i will put pics of the guitar up on the site when i work out how to.
