About Me

Where to start...I was born and raised an Air Force brat. Growing up when people asked where I was from, I never knew quite what to tell them. But then, most people I knew were in the same boat I was. My dad retired from the military in Panama City, FL and now works in private practice. Mom long since retired from dental hygiene and has been devoted to supporting dad in his practice and to acting as a neverending cheerleader and encourager for me and my two younger sisters. My family and I travelled quite a bit when dad (well, the family - as it were), was stationed in The Netherlands (Germany, Switzerland, Brussels, Italy, France, and Australia to name the ones I can remember!).A pastor of mine in Birmingham once said that angels are messengers of God. They are people who are used by God to touch, influence, and guide others. My mom is my angel. I have learned time and time again that I would not be here if it were not for the Lord and how he has supported and guided me through my mom.I enjoy sculling and sweep rowing, though there is no masters club where I currently reside. I am addicted to coffee. I also love to drive fast and love roller coasters! Except right after lunch. I enjoy the beach, except during spring break. I enjoy traveling but haven't done much lately.Great friends are hard to find. I have been blessed to find some of the best. Beth, Val and Amy H are three of the best friends I could have asked for. They have been around since the good old days at Huntingdon & have seen and supported me at my worst. We've also had a lot of geat times together. Val and I getting up at 4am to crew (HAHAHAHA!) and all the late night sweet tooths driving Amy and I to McDonalds for Sundaes and Shakes! I'll never forget all the CPC parties that Beth and I set up and attended ... with me (the usual DD) inevitably driving everyone home! Amy Stoj (Farris!) is my greatest friend from high school.Career wise, I would love to get involved in research, which could mean yet another degree. So that may have to wait a while.

My Interests

Visit http://www.thenoc.netSwimming, Crew (scull and sweep). I miss the crew in Sarasota. I enjoy curling up with a good book on a rainy day, coffee - any day. Coffee is an addiction. I enjoy my family. Living on the panhandle of FL provides less travel time to my parents -- further though from my sisters and from Disney. OHIO STATE FOOTBALL is the BEST. Sorry Alison and Ash, but Go Bucks! I enjoy traveling, spending time with friends, traveling to visit my friends when I can, family vacations, (right now any vacation will do!), coffee, weekends, music, going out on dad's boat, have I mentioned coffee? Horseback riding is an old favorite...
