"JoAnna Lee" is actually the name of a fictional character I wrote short stories about when I was young teenager. As an adoptee, I had just begun the pursuit of locating my birthmother. Imagine my amazement when I finally met my her (some 20 years later) to discover that her brother is called "Lee" and his daughter's name is "Joanna." Well, nearly another 15 years have passed since then, and both of my wonderful mothers...

Now 50 years of age, I have been many places in my short lifetime; physically, mentally and emotionally. Currently, having been diagnosed in January 2006 with Hepatitis C and just now beginning treatments (April 2007), I feel compelled to return to my often neglected life-long love of writing. I feel that I have much to say and that my own personal story needs to be told.

My hope is that you will enjoy my works and that you will take something meaningful with you as you travel along your own life path.Peace, Love and Joy be with you,

Adoption/Foster-care Issues

PLEASE NOTE:

When I was younger, I was not aware of how many people are touched by the adoption/foster-care system.
When I was diagnosed with Hep C, I had no idea of how many people are touched by this silent, deadly disease.
Today, I am almost afraid to learn how many people have been touched (as I have) by BOTH!!! I know I am not alone! And... I'm willing to bet that the numbers are staggering! Anyone care to wager?
