About Me

Grew up in Chicago hitting Jazz Clubs,Blues Clubs and playing in Pick Up Partry Bands like Joe Dust. Went Underground with my music while working a six year stint at Greenpeace leading to opening and later directing Greenpeace's Wisconsin office. All the while I was filling a beer case box full of songs and comedy skits. I like the sensual things in life in regards to music, nature, sailing, friendships and cooking food. My motto is Deep in Deed shallow in life. I work at HECenter.org saving forests and wetlands by day and watching low brow hollywood comedy and writing songs at night. The songs I record are pretty much first takes done in GarageBand because I like it fresh and new and I'd rather give birth to the next sonic plaything rather than overwork a song. Maybe I'm just lazy, but in the end its about having fun and becoming different characters and channeling different vibes and songs that float my way. While I've played with many drugs, I'm into yerbamatte tea, rhodiola, yoga and meditation until it all cracks down to Earth and the red wine flows.I'm very vegetarian, but giving fewer speeches about it. Meat is like an SUV and beans are like a bicycle. Food choices deserve a place next to recycling in our Earth Saving toolkit.

Great Dane

The Kent Plamer Band show at the Great Dane went well lastnight. We did a 2.5 hour non-stop set. The Great Dane then offered us a monthly gig there. So that's cool. I certainly don't mind the fre...
