I’ve been into music since a very early age. I started playing piano when I was a kid and then moved on to guitar. I also play bass and some drums.
My first band, Pow, was a three piece. We played The Jam covers. They were our heroes. And I think we turned some of our friends in school into mods ;-)
I then started playing bass in a blues band called Saigon Blues. A dirty hardcore bluesband. I then moved to Gothenburg where I wrote songs and played in a couple of bands. After that on to Stockholm. I began to write songs with a couple of people and played in a few bands. Then I moved back to my hometown. A small town where I started playing with JK Knox amongst others in a band called PURE. JK Knox and me also formed the band Jellychoppers, (check out my friends list). We have played on and off for ten years now.
I have done my share of live gigs. But it’s the songwriting and recording process that is my thing. I write songs for other artists as well.
On this site I will post some of my demos that has no home yet. There will be no certain genre. Anything I make that I think is good will be posted here.
The Tord J. Project is created to find different singers who want to record vocals on my songs. And maybe rerecord and release them. If anyone is interested I may also be available to write with other songwriters.

BRAND NEW DAY feat. Martin Warn: Here is the version we've all been waiting for. The song was written for him and this is what it should sound like. Thank you Martin! Check out Martin's myspace page. See my friends list below.
THE DREAM: An oldie I did a new recording of. A weird, strange but yet beautiful song.
BY YOUR SIDE (SLOW): This is the slow version of a song that was first written as a rock/pop song. This was written and arranged in my head so the recording just took a couple of hours. I like to work fast. Then the song still feels fresh when it’s done. I have a couple of people in mind for vocals.
IT WON'T BE THE LAST: A song that has been laying around for a while. A pop/country kind of a song. If you have trouble hearing the words it's because there are very few. This is how I'm working. I record a one take lead vocal and whatever words comes popping out will be there until it will be replaced by proper lyrics.

BY YOUR SIDE (FAST): A fast punk-ish tongue in cheek version. Is it better? Mixed to be played loud!
BRAND NEW DAY: This was written with my friend Mr Martin Warn in mind (see my friends list). I hope he will do vocals one day ;-). The goal was to make it sound Daniel Lanois-ish.
OVER & OVER: This one was done completely in my head before putting it on "tape". I think it has a good feeling to it and a great dynamic!
