Jellychoppers started in 1997 by JK Knox and Tord J. We had both been in many different bands and we felt the urge to write some power pop songs. The first demos were recorded in a little cottage in the country side. We were rockin’ out on the guitars as we saw horses and cows outside the windows. A contrast which did us good. We play everything on our recordings except drums and we found the drummer we wanted in Bo Peter aka Pete Loon. A lead drummer, as we would like to call it, that were a perfect match.
We have recorded on and off through the years. And now, after a few years of absence, we decided to do a sort of a comeback. We are currently in the studio finishing some new songs and they will appear on this site when they are done. In the meantime we have uploaded some of our earlier songs for your listening pleasure.
JK Knox: has a band history that include bands like Kingpin, Cosmic Zoo, Dildo Roxx, Pure, Enemies SWE etc. A guitar hero for many. He also sings lead in Jellychoppers. He has been a hard rocker / philosopher all his life. He writes the Jellychoppers tunes with Tord J. He is also a professional music technichan that has helped many famous Swedish bands to sound like they want to.
Tord J: has a band history that include bands like Pow, Saigon Blues, Bone Bag, Mindcum, The Gangas, Pure etc. He writes the Jellychoppers tunes with JK Knox. He also writes for other artists in Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
Bo Peter: has a band history that include bands like Souls, Kracklites, Soundtrack of our Lives (filling in for F. Sandsten) The Gangas La Masa, Der Spiegel, Saigon Blues, Saigon Creeps, Katten som jammade loss, Buffalo Soldiers, The Curse, Dead Fingers Talk, Torbjörn Larssons etc. Bo Peter has a drum style that has a 60’s feel to it. A Swedish Keith Moon.
