Steven M. Riley has been playing bass over twelve years and has received his BA in Music Technology from UAB. He was an active member of the UAB Jazz Ensemble and Combo under the direction of Ray Reach and Mark Lanter. He has also studied string bass with Cleve Eaton, Abraham Becker, and David Mazanec. During this time he has played around Birmingham with the likes of Chad Fisher, Carlos Pino, Michael Glaser, Pedro Meyer, Mandi Rae Trott, Michael John Clement, and Heroic Me. He has also done work with the Red Mountain Theatre Company for their production of The Wizard Of Oz. Steven plays full-time with RJS Trio, which feature Allen Stone and Christophe Jackson. He is also currently working with two rock bands, both with Allen Stone and Jamie Gordon finishing out the rhythm section. The Deal-Breakers are a southern rock, 70s, and blues based band with Mark Lollar on vocals, guitar, and harp. Madmartigan is a rock band with a focus on modern rock, 90s, and pop with James McConatha on vocals and guitar.
