From an early age I used to sing and dance around the house thinking
I was Michael Jackson lol, I can clearly remember the first record I ever listened to was a track called ‘A NIGHT TO REMEMBER’ by the group SHALIMAR,I must have been around five years old,I‘d put that seven inch record on at around seven in the morning,every Saturday just before He-Man,and whilst everyone was still asleep,I’d crank it up, and dance around the living room like a maniac.Having started out, producing for other artists, I guess it was only inevitable
I realised that my real passion lay in writing and vocal production as opposed to sitting behind a mixing desk day in and day out.
I started producing around 2001, it was pretty much a hobby ,making a few
beats ,experimenting ,remixing, and not really knowing what I was doing,
I was a huge fan of the producer Timbaland so I would sit there for hours trying to figure out how to construct these complex sounds,
It sounds funny in retrospect but by doing this I believe it really did help me understand rhythm and timing, and how layering your sounds can really take your tracks to a whole new level.Having spent the next few years of and on musically,I amassed a huge collection of musical pieces, now by this time I was making full tracks consisting of intro -chorus-bridge in an hour,whilst playing all the instruments on them.I had dedicated way to much time in trying to perfect the sound I wanted and felt at that time (2003) I had reached that level of understanding
where everything went in terms of song construction,if anything.
Late 2004 was when I started to take my music seriously,and I use that word(seriously) lightly,lol, I decided the best thing I could do to get my name out there was to get some vocals on these tracks I had produced to showcase my abilities as a writer producer, so I did the rounds, placed some adds and hey presto ,,,,I found some vocalists ,,,,,,,,
OR SO I THOUGHT I DID.,,,,,,,,, BOING,,,,,,,,,
To be honest, all the early sessions I had with the so called singing mob where disasters.....what I mean to say is that non of them could sing very well bless their hearts, You see I had a clear vision of what I wanted to hear
as a producer ,that’s my job right...... so this SMALL problem ended up stalling my work ethic,so I was back to square one. AGAIN.....BOOOO
2005 So I end up doing the songs myself.
I wont lie,,, through all the bullshit ,,, I always wanted to sing my own songs,
I wrote them,,, crafted the music,,,, BUT.........
I DIDNT KNOW IF I COULD SING VERY WELL,IF AT ALL.
I figured ,well, if I taught myself to make music,
play instruments,blah blah blah ,then why not teach myself
to sing ,,,,SO I DID,,,,,,,,,
I basically recorded my voice everyday on my trusty MD
singing George Michael Songs lol
I did this for around 11 months ,,,every night I would play back what I recorded and hear where I was going wrong,
now I had to do this at night ,,,somehow in total darkness my ears seem to pickup- on my out of tune bits allot better as daft as is sounds, but it did help me allot,,, listening back to early recordings now,makes me cringe big time lol,,,, so as they say practice makes perfect ,,,
well not perfect but a helluvalot better .

Well I’m a pretty laid back individual ,I prefer the simple things in life,
I spend an awful lot of time around my family, nephews and nieces
and find great inspiration in them ,I wake up in the morn walk around in my jim jams ,make a pot of coffee and head straight to the studio, I’m highly creative yet painfully indecisive ,I always feel as though I can do much better ,and strive to do the best I can possibly do ,,FOR ME.
Writing and recording songs helps me escape whatever’s on my mind at that
particular moment ,I truly get lost in my work when I’m creating
And I sincerely hope you can feel me through my musical escapades.
2006-present ? Manny Boy is currently recording ,writing and producing his album ....................
