About Me

CHECK OUT TIM & BOB'S NEW TV SHOW - PRODUCERS DIARY COMING SOON!!! The multi instrumentalist, Grammy winning production team of Tim & Bob have solidified themselves as the most consistent urban duo producers for 15 years running. With 10 grammy nominations (2 Grammy wins) and multiple award nominations, they consistently raise the bar as well as record sells.. 170 million records and counting. With artists they have discovered, record deals acquired and hit albums they have executive produced; they have redefined the business model.Responsible for the early boom of the Atlanta music scene along side their mentor Dallas Austin; they began their careers working with artists TLC, 112 (whom they discovered) and Monica. It didn’t take long for the word to spread, and the duo soon found themselves working on the music industries biggest artist such as Michael Jackson, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, R Kelly, Boyz II Men, Dr. Dre, Babyface, Isley Brothers, Will Smith, Destiny Child( very instrumental in getting them signed) Puffy, Ludacris, Bobby Valentino (one of the duo's artist) Lil Wayne, Jon B, Joe, Sisqo, Mario Winans (""they're lil brother'', got him his first start in the r&b game with Dallas Austin) Zhane, Willa Ford, Tamia, Fabolous, Nas, The Clipse, Donell Jones, Debra Cox, Mya, Karen Clark, David Hollister, CoKo, Tyrese, Mc Lyte, Lost Boys and many many others!! The Duo also has had success with many soundtracks; “How to Be a Player", Players Club, Poetic Justice", "Wild Wild West", and "The Nutty Professor 2"When asked who inspired them to be a duo.. Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis."They've laid the ''blue print out for what it means to be super producers" says Tim. They let the music speak for itself and allow the artist to shine..in return it will reflect on the producers". We developed our own style by mixing different genres, cultures and time frames .. together..that's the beauty of our sound..sometimes you'll know when it's a "Tim and Bob" record then there's times we'll do something different to keep it fresh and creative..just to challenge ourselves, helps u to work with a wide range of artist as well''.“We have been fortunate to work with some of the best and soak up knowledge”, Adds Bob; “One of the lessons we learned from Dallas, L.A.Reid, and Jimmy and Terry is that if your creative enough, u can change radio with one hit, not defined by the sound u currently hear" adds Tim'', everyone wants to hear something new and different.. they encouraged us to always experiment, create recreate create!!!!There inevitably came a time when the team knew if time to move out on their own. Soon after departing from Dallas; they instantly scored number one hits with Jon.B; “They Don't Know", Tamia; “So Into U". This lead to a desire to move out west, and while working with the now defunct Dreamworks label, Tim & Bob were instrumental for getting the rock group Papa Roach signed. The move west was the catalyst to more success. Most notably; the worldwide hit “Thong Song” by Sisqo, (8 weeks number one U.S. and number one in 30 countries for 2 consecutive months), Case’s “Missing You” 4 weeks at number one, and David Hollister’s "Take Care Of Home”.In the last two years; the duo worked with Bobby Valentino's as both producer and executive producers. Not only is that album approaching platinum, it spurned a new Asian R&B sound with “Slow Down" (single selling over 500,000 copies, at number one for 4 consecutive weeks) and "Tell Me". Jennifer Lopez Called on the duo for her lp "Rebirth" which sold over 500,000 copies U.S a million worldwide..popped a international single "Cherry Pie and "I Love"..Soon after they scored a couple of number one in a row; good friend Brian McKnight "Use To Be My Girl" on the lp titled "10''.(four other Tim and Bob tracks are on the lp as well), Donell Jones "I'm Gonna Be" ( three others on the lp ''Gemini") Hilary Duff(in store release now) '''I Wish'', Nas, Joe(in stores), Musiq Soulchild, Ron Isley, Brandy, Tyrese, Amerie, Mya, gospel artist Detreick Haddon and their new artists Mahagani and Chico. Upcoming projects includes Usher, Latoya (original member of Destiny Child), Slim (112..sola project), and Busta Rhymes.Asked why they think they have been so successful; Bob Says “It’s a few things; we have had exceptional mentors who believed in us, we are very passionate about music and our artists – and unlike most producers; we tailor make joints for artists from scratch” Furthers Bob; “We have been blessed; and although we are proud of the work we have done, we haven’t even begun to do our best work yet, we have only just scratched the surface”
