Studio Voltaire is the first and only artist-led gallery and studio complex in South West London. Founded in 1994, Studio Voltaire aims to create access and participation in contemporary art practice and support artists' projects, particularly those that may not be possible within conventional institutional frameworks. Projects and commissions include TONIGHT curated by Paul O’Neill with newly commissioned works by Liam Gillick and Kathrin Boehm (2004); Oh we will, we will, will we by Joanne Tatham and Tom O’Sullivan (2005), The Walk to Dover by Spartacus Chetwynd (2005/07) and a major national touring project by Chris Evans (2006-07). Our forthcoming programme includes solo projects by Spartacus Chetwynd, Donald Urquhart, Thomas Ravens, Cathy Wilkes and Maria Pask as well as an offsite projects at White Columns, New York and ICA, London.
