About Me

Hardpop Curator, DJ, Arse-hungry bummer - a regular Renaissance Man
I keep myself out of special needs school by doing things in the art and music worlds. If you wanna know more about that, it's best to follow the links and poke around the blog thing.
Those of you who are artistically minded can check out my curatorial carry ons at my site, Centrifugal Projects
Or you might want to try to get your lips firmly up my hairy crack in an attempt to get your work profiled in the Art Section of Wound Magazine
of which I am the megalomaniac control-freak Art Editor. It won't work: sycophancy scares me just as much as bad art. So just send me a link to something useful and if I think there's a way that it works for the mag and might e able to help you, we can talk...
Alternatively, why not feel free to tell us what you think about what we're doing on Wound Magazine's blog
On the music front, I like a lot more music than the music I play as a DJ. Some music just isn't for dancing. Well not outside the privacy of my own home. Hardpop is one nom de guerre (for the more expereimental pop-esque stuff) and the other is DJ Cliche (for the dirty electro/electro house/mimimalisch-ous techno stuff). You've got to keep your brands clear for the punters, baby. If you wanna know more. Or better still, book me, drop me an email for more info.
Upcoming things to keep an eye on.....
Angie Reed in Antwerp for Fstforward
The Invisible Mend

Jemima Brown @ The Agency
Frauhaus @ The Agency
The Unfair Party: Let It BE!
(for all you "innalektuals")Les Dames Blanches

My Interests

Sorry, I'm not interested...

I'd like to meet:

Idi Amim Dada - 70's blaxploitation as a dictatorship...
Get over it!
The 80's were generally shit with less interesting food. Ian Curtis was interesting but NOT that interesting. And talent and the the assumption that you are born with some predetermined destiny to be an important artist is crap.Maybe it plays in Buttfuck, Ohio, but this is the real world, mon ami. Stop telling me what I like and what I think. If you're confused, ASK. I'm not. I will tell you honestly and, actually, politely.

Good Friday, Good Company, Good Champagne

The cure for a hissy fit (mine) I discovered, is good champagne. Poor Janine had to rush around doing sound checks and meeting with publishers whilst Angie, Chalrie and I decamped to my roof terrace (...
