I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I'm a traveler, a wanderer, and always changing, yet I stay the same. As Lindy would say, " She's a Chameleon".Do you know what it means? To miss new orleans...? Where you left your heart? I know there are so many people who don't live here anymore and want to come back. We gotta fix this situation here... All it takes is a will and hard work. Keep the faith. If we had one months money spent on Iraq, we could rebuild the entire gulf region....I spent this weekend down in the ninth ward... Looks pretty in pink if ya ask me... Brad Pitt sez he will match donated cash to rebuild, looks like he is... For every pink tarped structure you see, represents a house that fell. Some are even in the streets. Its loud, its pink, and its a statement. Won't you please visit the ninth, or at least his website and help these people come home??

My Interests

did someone say skeleton? or skeleton krewe? or bone gang? day of the dead?

Everything New Orleans, and Louisiana. Everything about the pacific northwest, particularly the Oregon Coast, and Seattle. These are the things I know. Prescott Arizona, and some parts of California... Love Colorado, Florida, Savannah Georgia, and Charleston South Cackalackie... Hotels, and more hotels, states and more states, traveling along throughout the United States, and on the way having good conversation, photography, and artistic expression. Catahoula Cur's, Dobermans, and all pooches...here's a little idea of how multicultural this city is... my new shopping center....Wanderers, Travelers, Thinkers, Artists, Musicians, Visual Opportunists...laissez les bon temps flote...The Drowned Paris of the South. The dirty south, the big easy, KVILLE, nola, survivor skills, and street smarts...

I'd like to meet:

Artists, Musicians, Survivors, Gifted people, those behind the scenes, Writers, Women who can think for themselves, Men who worship them, Actors, Photographers, Saviors, Saints, all the Aints... Promoters selling art, or music manifesto's, people who get to the point instead of chasing the point. The next character in Kim's novel... Or maybe I have and I don't know it yet. Either way I'm sure it will make for interesting reading...I'd like to meet Terrance Osborne, who I think is probably one of the greatest artists to rise in New Orleans since 8/29.. When they say redefine 8/29, they mean people who can paint things like this....New Orleans was officially a city of the United States on Aug 25th 1718... I was born on the 25th of august as well... now it all makes sense as to why I'm so attracted to this city.no cat sellin, no crack sellin, no BS,

Music:

I have a huge appetite for music, so join in the education of new forms of expression by listening to WWOZ 90.7 New Orleans. You can find it on your computer. You could be listening to it right now. Its the best description I can think of, when it comes to music, new orleans, and my tastes. O.Z. sez it all.... plays it all.... I especially love sundays. All Day...

Movies:

just saw the golden compass... thought it was really visually beautiful. Don't see why they had to have uniformed officers in the theater, but I guess they were expecting a CHRISTIAN revolt of some sort. Go see it, and form your own opinion.... Especially liked Sam Elliott's daemon.... LOL like the jackolope he is....welcome to the ninth ward driving tour of pink...I am so excited to see someone stand up for this area, and make a statement. There's a driving tour, and an area you can view the ideas... If you donate money to the cause, Brad and Angelina will match your dollars... until, say, this place looks like home again...notice this sign, and jot down the website, or call the number to donate money...at night this is lit up, with of course.... pink lights... Very strange, yet kinda christmasee...great to see this next shot, as that's where the barge used to sit....there's even viewing decks so you can take in all the pink...

Television:

I watch television, and many movies, but my advice to anyone is turn off the news, they have nothing but terrorism to talk about, and quite frankly, I'm tired of the oil terrorism we've been subjected to in the last seven years. Its like watching Katrina reruns, over and over. Once you've seen it, then thats all it is... reruns, and the same old, same old.... turn your television off, and live for today.

Books:

Something by Kim Welan.

Memories, of days past and present
