About Me

I'm a punk, anarchist, wiccan, bi, crazy, exuberant, interesting, active, vegan, straightedge person. I'm very into being friends with people, who are interested in lots of things. I have learned a lot from the people in my life. I'm always looking for more friends, especially people who share my political interests. ************************************************************ **** I don't shave my legs ,pits, etc. I have a (usually green) mohawk, and plan on keeping it. Green is my favorite color. I'm vegan and have been for going on 5 years and was a veggie for 6 or 7 years before that. I am definitely a supporter of animal liberation. I love food. I just started being straight edge about 11 months ago and plan to stay this way. ********************************* I want more tattoos and piercings- I have 3 Norse runes tattooed on me. I have Uruz for Strength on the inside of my right wrist, Mannaz for the self or the individual on my right ankle, and the rune for protection on my left ankle. ******* I have Orion the constellation on my left fore arm, with green stars and black lines. ****I have a profile of a skull with a green mohawk and crossed bones and an anarchy symbol on the cheek on the back of my right leg. ****I have a bat with a thirteen in the middle on my hip. **** I have a 4 leaf clover with the words "And Shepherds we shall be" written around it. *** I have a heart on my left wrist. ** I have an arrow crossed with a wrench on my right upper arm. I have an almost completed full sleeve on my right arm, a tattoo on both thighs, and a vegan bunnie on the right side of my stomach*******I have 25 total piercings- a ton in both ears, a nose piercing, a lip piercing, an industrial, a cartilage piercing, a belly button piercing, and my eyebrow ring came out, but i'm gonna get it pierced again. I also have pierced septum, nipples, rook on my right ear, and an 8 gauge piercing in the conch of my left ear. I just pierced the conch of my left ear myself...piercing yourself is hard, but now I have the confidence to pierce others bwahahha. I pierced my left nostril, and I gave myself a tattoo of the outline of Virginia on the inside of my left calf, and the hobo symbol for "a beating awaits you" on the outside of my right ankle. I just gauged my lobes to 00g. ***************************
Get free stickers at peta2.comI love ska music, and I love punk music more, and lately I love country as well, but I think thats mostly because I'm living in the North and I miss the south, and I don't have access to much Rockabilly, which is also cool. I play guitar, just not often or well. I also really like singing. And dancing to punk or ska at shows is kind of amazing. There aren't any good venues around my college...which sucks butt. My favorite part about music is the lyrics...I am a huge fan of political lyrics. I'm getting into some hardcore...its can be really good to run to. ************************************** I'm a Massachusetts certified EMT. And a nationally certified lifeguard. ****** I love my bike, I ride it alot around campus and RIchmond and intend to plan my life so that I can bike instead of drive..it is a good plan cause I dont have a car and we are running out of oil!!! Trains are also good fun. I'm learning more about bikes, slowly, but I want to be able to work on them. ******************************************** I'm interested in art, mostly just for fun. Printmaking, button making, screen printing, textiles, stencilling etc. all interest me. ********************************** I also like sewing and making clothes and other soft goods. Sometimes for fashion purposes, and sometimes for practical reasons. I tend to have to patch things up a lot. ************************ I am really interested in political science, social movements, and anarchism. That is basically what I am majoring in. Well, actually my senior thesis will be something like "Modalities of social movements in Richmond, VA from 1950-2000." I really like reading and writing. I get very passionate about political issues. I enjoy reading about them even if sometimes the material is dry. I HATE NEOLIBERALISM... in a big way. Very interested in the topic though and the struggles that surround it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I'm went to Mexico in January 2006 and got to learn from the Zapatistas. I'm planning to fuck around on trains and squatting with cool people after college. ***************************** I am also interested in sustainability, environmentalism, land rights, animal rights, permaculture, alternative energy, biodiesel, zines, self publishing, collectives and co-ops, activism, protests, peace, freedom, justice, creative writing, economic theories, gardening, homeopathic medicine, librarianship, civil rights, constitutional law, globalization studies, political philosophy, history of social movements, Spanish language, adoption, home schooling, reading, pets, ZINESSSSS, tattoos, piercings, singing and songwriting, poetry, guitar, dreaming, hoping, planning, acting, getting things done. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I live and love Richmond VA, but am currently enrolled at Hampshire College in Amherst MA. One day soon I want to go back to RIchmond and get a house and adopt pets and kids, and garden, work in the community, etc. ****************************** What I miss most about Richmond besides the people are the James River, 3rd St.Diner (NOw dead), and The Nanci Raygun (Now Dead). Richmond people are pretty rocking too... I like pretty much everyone and will hang out with pretty much anyone, so hit me up. Contact: gomoriahmo on AIM (almost never on), anarchymo on Livejournal (almost never update), [email protected] (check frequently) My blog thing I use: http://anarchymo.wordpress.com/ **************************************** *************************************** **************************************** APPROACHING APOCALYPSE ZINE DISTRO This is my new project...a sweet zine distro...yaaaaaaaay!Approaching Apocalypse DistroThe Approaching Apocalypse Distro is an independent zine distributor working out of Amherst, Massachusetts and Richmond, Virginia. We publish and distribute DIY zines and other products (patches, buttons, etc.) that inspire and inform. The purpose of this project is to help disseminate ‘propaganda’, connect people around the world, and make the zine community more accessible to people everywhere. Information, art, music, ideas and stories were meant to be shared and the Approaching Apocalypse Distro will do what it can to share them by selling most items at reasonable prices or at cost (or less). Any ‘profits’ that are accidentally incurred will be donated to the Richmond, Virginia chapter of Food Not Bombs. ****************************************************** ****************************************************** **************************************************** ***** The name Approaching Apocalypse is not reflective of a gloom and doom attitude about a fiasco of biblical proportions, but rather of an understanding that the world is a mess, and will likely only get messier (hopefully not actually end-of-the-world type messy). Reading and learning and writing and creating and loving are all ways that we can ‘prepare’ for what is to come. Approaching Apocalypse is also about living out our beliefs as anarchists- finding ways to be a positive influence and remain true to our anarchist ideals. We can not (and don’t want to) count on the government, corporations or any other organization to take care of us. It is up to all of us to find ways to contribute to our communities. Autonomy and community will be the keys to making the world better, not worse. As Rising Tide North America puts it when discussing climate change and the mess the world is in, “Practical solutions exist; it’s time we start using them and making them more widely accessible. We must dismantle the systems of oppression that permeate our culture and ourselves, and work toward real solidarity across lines of race, class, gender and sexual orientation. When we begin to build a culture of mutual aid and community autonomy, we demonstrate that we don’t need the government, and certainly not giant corporations, to survive. We just need a livable planet.”. (www.risingtidenorthamerica.org). Lofty goals to work towards, but that is what makes us idealists. ****************************************************** ******************************************************* **************************************************** When some of my friends at Hampshire and I had the (completely informal and mostly unrealized) Apocalypse club, or just ran around talking about the apocalypse, it was with an energizing feeling. It helped us gain the momentum needed to make hot pants out of a sweater (etc.). I am pysched about projects and friends and community- and yelling ‘for the apocalypse’ helps get me even more excited. Like how excited I am about a zine distro. ****************************************************** ****************************************************** ******************************************************* The zines published by the Approaching Apocalypse distro have a focus on political and social justice issues (animal liberation, straight edge, vegan, social movements, environmental and sustainability issues, anarchism, etc.) as well as DIY how to subjects, punk, art, travel and personal zines. We welcome any submissions along these lines, and probably most other well-done zines. Contact us if you want to be distributed by Approaching Apocalypse, we are always looking for more titles. *************************************************** ****************************************************** ************************************************** Certain books may also be distributed by Approaching Apocalypse, if they seem relevant to the previous mentioned topics. Hopefully a vast array of awesome things, such as t-shirts, patches, buttons, tapes, and CDs will become available as Approaching Apocalypse grows. Vegan snacks are a future attendee of tabling events. **************************************************** *********************************************** Approaching Apocalypse will operate mainly through the postal service, tabling at shows and conferences, and a website in the near future. ***************************************************** ***************************************************** Contact: Mo [email protected] Karn Approaching Apocalypse Box 864 Hampshire College 893 West St. Amherst, MA 01002

My Interests

Music, rock climbing, hiking, canoeing, camping, I like to cook vegan food, go on picnics, play in the river, swim, printmaking, photography, art in general, tattoos, piercings, mohawks, reading shitty detective novels, reading political stuff, history, anarcho syndicalism, reading anythig about spanish anarchists and anarchist theory, debating, independent films, being sexy, sewing zippers on my clothes, painting my clothes, running around naked when no one is looking. I HATE AUTHORITY. I like sitting at 3rd st. drinking coffee. I like running and lifting weights. I've been a babysitter/nanny, lifeguard, cashier, pizza maker, cabinet builder, day care volunteer, EMT, waitress, stripper.I'm interested in local foods, sustainability, solar panels, alternative energy, biodiesel, farming, permaculture. Survival. More recently I am developing strong interest in Green Anarchist or Anarcho-primitivist ideas. Animal and Earth liberation are also both awesome. And Straight Edge lifestyle also is something I'm learning about. I want to learn a lot more about trains and get some travels under my belt. I'm learning to pierce and might learn to tattoo one day if I practice drawin enough.

I'd like to meet:

I would like to meet another (semi) responsible adult. Someone who generally follows through. People who are interested in politics and anarchy and communal living and veganism. People who dare to dream. Someone who gives a shit. Someone with a plan or a goal or some idea of who they are and who they want to be. Someone who reads a lot. People who want to discuss political issues. People to inspire me. People to let me be a singer in their band. ************ Someone who likes to cuddle, kiss, hug. ************************** Perhaps someone who enjoys picnics and being outside and running and adventures and rock climbing and swimming and hiking and camping ************************************************************ ***** I want to meet people who are living life. People that don't try to make judgement calls on everyone else. The open minded. **************************************** People who will dance to bad music, hold the door for someone, spend the day reading bad detective novels in bed. I'd kind of like to meet me. ANd then quickly move in with me. Not cause I'm a narcisist, but because I don't think there are that many people like me out there and its gets lonely sometimes being a Mo....
