About Me

My name's Otis but some people call me Jen and some people call me pretentious cunt. I go by all three. I've been working in the music industry underground for about 10 years doing all sorts of neat stuff. I'm only booking and promoting shows for the bands I like and that I want to see. I don't care about the money.
My number one rule is quality over quantity. The bands I book will be exemplary and the line-ups mostly geared towards the critical ears of other musicians, not the ears of people who think godsmack is the best band ever.
Most shows will have tickets for sale at least 2 weeks in advance, non-ticketmaster. I will keep friends posted on the outlets, via bulletins and blogs. I hope you will allow me to post my show flyers on your comments pages or even help me promote.

I admire these people for their business skill and most of all, their ethics. As I have seen over years how these poeple run their businesses. These people maintain a high level of integrity in business that I admire and respect for various reasons and I model some of what I do from what I have learned by watching them.
Sounds Like: I book intelligent music on a heavy tip, music that shows evolution and fresh ideas.
I personally love metal music so most of what I book will be in that realm, but only the good stuff.
I will not book generic-sounding bands, cover bands, mainstream hard rock. But I just may book a bluegrass band or a string quartet if they are doing things in a progressive fashion.
