Pleasantville Dolls owner "Well, I'm 19 and for a long time photography and modeling have been a passion of mine, but I never exactly fit the barbie mold. Not that I think there is anything wrong with it, it just wasn't for me. I found beauty in other things. I had a strange way of finding beauty in flaws... I love looking at pin up girls modeling, gothic, the glamour queens, the flawless natural beauties, the punk girls, the betties, and I just wanted to be part of that and make it my own. I want every girl to feel special, like she has a quality that should be shown not hidden. Photography is a sure way to express your art, your flaws, ect. It's a beautiful way to get away from your everyday life and capture a moment in time where you were truely beautiful and I think people will agree."

Lizzie (Ginger Doll)I always get really confused when people ask what my “type” is. Does anyone seriously find one hair color, eye color and body type superior to another? Maybe some do. i’m not one of them. i love the fact that i can stand next to a girl who is my polar opposite and feel like we are both uniquely beautiful in our own way. Pleasantville Dolls is my chance to embrace that: To find the unconventional beauty in all of us. That is why i am a Doll.

Ashley,Jessie, and Lizzie are just a couple of girls who are trying to give a new perspective on beauty. Not every girl is meant to be the cookie cutter image. Some of us are different, and just because we're different doesn't mean we're not beautiful. Size, style, tattoos, piercings, eccentric clothing or ideas are not shunned, all are welcome and accepted. Here at Pleasantville Dolls we prize girls for their form of self expression, whatever it may be.
Now here is some basic info about us: We are based and run in the Hampton Roads (Virginia) area. We are looking for girls to model for us to show the world just how beautiful being different can be. We are inviting anyone, no matter the location, to become a part of this revolution, however we are really looking for girls who are available for photoshoots. Yes, this means local.
Also, we are brand new at this and could use a little help getting started. Anyone willing to assist us with tech and html (banners, logos, and layouts)would be much appreciated. We're also looking for photographers and make-up and hair specialists. We can use all the help we can get right now. Those willing to help, please leave us a message and we will contact you ASAP.
