About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas’ Myspace Editor V3.6 !
I have a great somewhat offbeat sense of humor!

I am self-contained. I don't bend my values to 'fit in'.
What you see is what you get. If you don't like the view, look the other way! Or stick around, I'm like Washington weather, it will change.
I love words and writing. I adore doing research. I'm learning Vietnamese with a Pimsleur course. Languages, regional dialects (accents) fascinate me.
Reading is my thing since television is an abortionist of creative thought.
Music, almost any music is an earful of treasure. Hearing my daughter, Amanda sing (especially the songs she writes) makes me cry. I don't cry easily. I was 45 before I learned HOW to cry and I don't LIKE it!
I have no concept of what other people call TIME and I cannot always carry a thought through to completion.I love opera! Puccini is one of my favorites but Wagner runs a close second.
Dancing is a trip. I can dance more sitting down than some people can standing up. It's special talent of putting many muscles and connective adipose tissue in simultaneous motion.
I have the ice-berg or dragon-flame eyes and can use both effectively, sometimes simultaneously!
There is NO such thing as a 'bad hair' day, only 'good hat' day. And I have a great collection of wild and crazy, bold, bodacious and mysterious hats! I just had over two feet of hair cut off and feel like I had an amputation.
I have to be on guard constantly from using my wickedly sharp tongue.
I value ALL my friends. I have a wide variety of friends.
However, their comments may not reflect my personal philosophy or creed. I had been screening comments but that became tiresome, so if something off color or disrespectful gets posted, I will remove it. I also delete comments after a certain period of time to enhance page loading speed. Don't take it personally.
Here is a blog link to why I'm 'differently abled' .

My Interests

Your Blogging Type is Artistic and Passionate
You see your blog as the ultimate personal expression and work hard to make it great. One moment you may be working on a new dramatic design for your blog. And the next, you're passionately writing about your pet causes. Your blog is very important to you - and you're careful about who you share it with. What's Your Blogging Personality?

You Are Midnight
You are more than a little eccentric, and you're apt to keep very unusual habits. Whether you're a nightowl or taking a vow of silence - you like to experiment with your lifestyle. Expressing your individuality is important to you, and you often lie awake in bed thinking about the world and your place in it. You enjoy staying home, but that doesn't mean you're a hermit. You also appreciate quality time with family and close friends. What Time Of Day Are You?

I'd like to meet:

You Are Lightning
Beautiful yet dangerous. People will stop and watch you when you appear. Even though you're capable of random violence. You are best known for: your power
Your dominant state: performing div align="center

Music:

I lost all my formatting and music and movies and books and heroes. Boo! It will take time to reconstruct.
Please bear with the incomplete background until I can repair it.

Movies:

Comedies, drama, true stories - I like them all but rarely go to the theatre. Haven't been since: The Passion of the ChristI liked Full Metal Jacket, The Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal although they were brutal.
I liked Splash, A Fish Called Wanda, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels for the laughs. The Green Mile, 12 Monkeys and The Shawshank Redemption were favored because they made me think and set aside my temporary cares. Gone with the Wind is a classic. I liked Fargo and Pulp Fiction.

Television:

I don't watch television. Never did, never will. Sometimes I feel like a dinosaur when people talk about unknown characters to me but I would rather invest my time differently. I do (sadly) know the voices from many of the older shows like South Park and Beevis and Butthead. I don't think my life is enriched by emulating those voices but occasionally they will bring a laugh. I have been watching some movies (and sports) just to share time with my husband. Most of them are totally forgettable.
