bipolar HEAD QUARTER
When two opposing forces collide, there’s an energy created. A big bang – and in bipolar’s case, it’s an explosion of music, philosophy, art and life.Welcome to a world where east meets west, right meets wrong, bass meets treble, and night meets day. Bipolar embodies these dichotomies, eschewing boundaries and reveling in bringing polarities together. Sometimes, it can take some juggling – some deft negotiation, but the outcome is worth it. That off-kilter harmony, which underpins all bipolar puts its mind to.
bipolar MARKET
As a movement where boundaries don't exist, the music bipolar makes and releases resists being put into genres. To avoid these restrictions, the bipolar marketplace is all about categorising music according to feeling. Music connects with emotion – it fulfils a particular state of mind and isn't scared to push a broken heart to the brink, or turn up the bass on blissful euphoria. check out the bipolar releases available here...

Capturing the spirit of its attitude, here's bipolar's second vinyl release – three great tracks to transport you right into the heart of the action.
A1. Roforofo Fight (Kay Sputnik mud wrestling edit) / Fela K
Kay Sputnik beefs up the bass drums and adds some modern twists to crisp up this Fela Kuti classic. 'Rofo' means mud in Yoruba, and it's a mudslinging game that Fela initially translated into music, and Sputnik – into the future. You'll be knee deep before you know it.
B1. Skin I'm In (Kay Sputnik raw disco edit) / Sly & The Family Stone
DJs are treated to an extra-long rework of this Sly & The Family Stone gem, retaining all the requisite funk-laden hooks but with extended rhythm sections, floor-filling vocal licks and some deft EQ work transposing it seamlessly into a 21st-century context.
B2. Unbreakable (Kay Sputnik treat) / Alicia Keys
Alicia Keys is taken to the next level on this re-edit, her voice soaring over a deep Eddie Kendricks chord progression that's lifted from an original just crying out for some more space to breathe. Before, there was only a short live version of this classic soul tune and now, there's this deeply satisfying one ready and waiting to hot up a dancefloor.
